WE ARE PRIVATE THEREPY CLINIC

ABOUT US

We have the tools to meet all your RECOVERY needs is not just a slogan that is catchy and pertinent to counseling. Literally, Creative Counseling Solutions, LLC, can assist individuals with a multitude of needs in almost every aspect of the levels of care outlined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine, at an affordable cost! Whether it is to meet the conditions of a probated sentence, get driver licenses reinstated, or to profoundly change the direction of someone’s life who has found themselves desperate for change in either in the Mental Health or Substance Abuse arena, we have a plan for you! I purposefully set the private fees for services to be in line with what most people would pay for a co-pay or deductible if they were insured AND have a sliding fee scale to assist those who are struggling financially. If it’s time to steer your car in another direction, let us help with a road map of strategies that have been proven with our Evidenced-Based curriculum and years of experience on the highways of life offered through our counseling services. The Joint Commission recently awarded Creative Counseling Solutions, LLC-dba New Day Counseling the Behavioral Healthcare and Human Services Accreditation and we are a licensed outpatient treatment facility for the state of Georgia for Level and Level II services.

In addition to owning and operating the Outpatient Clinic of Creative Counseling Solutions, LLC, I am the Clinical Director of The WISE Place, a male and female residence that encompasses the 12-Steps of recovery from a Faith-Based initiative, whereby women and men are exposed to Celebrate Recovery and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings along with Cognitive Behavioral curriculum to advance their understanding of the disease of addiction. The WISE Place is a Parole THOR approved facility, and we are a member of the Georgia Association of Recovery Residences. The residents are afforded an opportunity to benefit from a structured program with a high degree of accountability in a safe environment to learn new behaviors and establish more healthy attitudes about life choices that lead to better coping strategies to cope with life issues without the use of chemicals. Each resident is given the opportunity to get individual and group counseling, along with peer support groups, and help in establishing full time employment and support in transitioning into a recovery lifestyle beyond our care. After care counseling is offered, as well.

Tim Strickland, M.Ed., LPC, MAC, SAP, CPCS, CCS

Founder/Owner

My name is Tim Strickland. I grew up in Glennville, Georgia, and now reside in Statesboro, Georgia. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Master's Degree in Education Counseling in 1998 and have worked in the field of counseling for over fifteen years. I have extensive experience working with both adolescents and adults with mental health and substance abuse issues. I am a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor. I am a Georgia approved Clinical Evaluator and Treatment Provider for the DUI Intervention Program and have certifications in Relapse Prevention, Clinical Supervision, Forensic Mental Health Evaluator, and Anger Management. In this program, I assist individuals in meeting requirements to get their driver licenses reinstated after multiple DUI’s on their record. I am also certified by the Federal Department of Transportation to provide substance abuse services to employees that are in DOT Safety Sensitive Positions who may have tested positive for alcohol and/or drugs. As a Substance Abuse Professional, I serve as the initial point of contact to establish parameters of change necessary for an individual to safely return to duty via initial assessment and follow up sessions that are required by employers and the Federal government. In 2013, I was fortunate to be honored as Georgia’s Licensed Professional Counselor Association’s Counselor of the Year for the development and oversight of a Long Term Residential Treatment facility and extensive work done with an Outpatient population to bring about positive changes in men and women who suffer from addiction in the Bulloch County area as a Treatment Provider for Bulloch Recovery Resources. I have brought my energy, insight, and professionalism to the forefront and established Creative Counseling Solutions, LLC (CCS).
